With four weekly flights, the newest destination to receive Turkish Airlines' flights is Valencia in Spain. The following month will also see an additional route, namely Malaga, Spain to Istanbul. That schedule will operate three times per week. All of that will be added to the existing services for Barcelona and Madrid. This is planned to be quite a busy year for the Turkish airline and these additional routes are just the start of it. The rest of 2011 will see additional new routes in quite a few other countries. For example, a few months later there will be inaugural flights to France for Toulouse, Lyon, Paris and Nice. Therefore, the airline will have a total of 175 international routes in its schedule and the year has barely begun. Just late last year in October of 2010, English soccer team, Manchester United, and Turkish Airlines completed final negotiations for a contract extending for just over three years. Turkish Airlines and Manchester United will team up to create a high-tech TV ad that will show the new business class concept the airline has developed. There are many reasons that both sides find this a great project. The new advertisements will show the team's best players travelling and enjoying the airline's business class section.

This is not an unusual situation for an airline, though, because there are many challenges that need to be resolved. This company has undergone many changes, from the bottom up.
